Insects, Disease, & Abiotic Factors affecting New England Trees and Shrubs

April 11th 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (Causal open discussion with handouts) at Studley's Flower Gardens in Rochester, NH

As a certified arborist with Port City Tree Care, I'm often asked to discover why a tree or shrub isn't thriving in an urban landscape. I have a set of usual causes—almost like rounding up suspects for questioning—but the process is actually simpler. Arborists look for key indicators to determine whether insects, diseases, or non-living (abiotic) factors are affecting the plant, and how best to help it recover. If you’re interested in learning how an arborist diagnoses common problems and identifies frequent issues in New England landscapes, visit Studley’s on April 11th  for an informative and casual session. The arborist will be on site from 10 am -2 pm to answer questions and provide handouts with information.
